Asha Zurich had a food stall at the Oerlikon Weltmarkt on July 9, 2010.
The proceeds from this event will go towards the upgradation of a school for 50 visually impaired children in Puri, Orissa, India.

Asha for Education - Zurich chapter, has joined hands with AIRYOGA, a Yoga center in the city of Zurich. AIRYOGA has agreed to hold a charity class and proceed the funds towards donation for Akshardeep's project in Maharashtra. The 'Charity Gentle Yoga class' was held on 14th February 2010. Work An Hour campaign started
Each year, people from around the world come together in a demonstration of great human spirit, to help educate underprivileged children in India. Work An Hour, or WAH, as it is popularly known, is a summer-long, global, online fundraising campaign based on a simple concept:
" Participants are asked to symbolically Work an Hour towards the cause of children's education by donating an hour's worth or more of their salary."
This year, the event begins on July 15 and concludes on September 15 spanning through India's Independence Day on August 15 and Teachers' Day on September 5.

This time the band of boys led the food stall. The main highlights were Vada-pav and other snacks. The boys had a great time getting their way around the stall.
Sparshan (Touching Lives) presented a musical evening with Srikanto Acharya.

ASHA was once again part of the Weltmarkt this year. Pani Puri, Samosa Chaat and
Indische Tea being the highlights. This time there were several orders from the
very loyal Indian IT crowd and once again we were sold out by the end of the day.
We met a few interesting people who made some contribution towards ASHA.s projects.
The professor in the blue t-shirt taught Indian History in Universities in India.
He enjoyed the pani-puri with complete happiness.

What is Work An Hour 2008? or WAH 2008?
Work An Hour, or WAH, as it is popularly known, is a simple concept. We ask you to symbolically contribute one hour of your time towards the cause of children's education by donating an hour's worth of your salary or more.
Indian Food Stall at Wetlmarkt, Oerlikon
Asha Zurich organized their third Weltmarkt food stall for this year (2008) on Friday 11th July.
The event was a success with more than 150 people enjoying the delicious Chole-Tikki, Samosa, Chai and Mango-Lassi.

Asha Zurich was invited to participate in the food festival organized by Indian Association Baden.
Asha Zurich's volunteers Kirtimalini and Ashwini prepared Vegetable Patties and Srinjoy, Agomoni and others prepared Hot crispy tasty Jalebis. These were sold in the event and people were happy to buy and taste them. More than 200 people attended the event which also included stalls from other people as well. Although the sales at the asha stall was minimal, people at the end donated generously and we were able to make a profit about 447.00 CHF.

Asha Zurich participated in Indian Association Zurich's Mega event, Indian Ball on 24th March 2007 in Kongresshaus. Asha Zurich's volunteers organized an after event disco and people danced to the tunes of DJ Chilli till late night. IAZ donated 500 CHF for the services of the DJ and the volunteers of asha.
